Application

Before the application of sealer, make sure the surface is free from dirt, oils, previous sealers, etc.

Surface preparation:

The surface must be perfectly hardened, structurally sound, dry and previously treated with Gi.Gi. Sealer. Before applying the first coat be sure that the surface is clean and free from dirt, oils, previous sealers. Verify the surface porosity by pouring a bit of water on it, if the water is stagnant, sanding is needed.

Mixing:

Stir the bottles before use. In a clean bucket, mix carefully Part A with Part B. Fill the bottle of Part A with clean and cold water three times and add it to the compound. Mix carefully with a mixing drill. Let the product stand for a few minutes, then pour it into the spray or pump machine. Pot life is 45 to 90 minutes, it may vary depending on the environmental conditions (temperature and moisture). We recommend preparing one kit
a time and applying the first coat.

Application:

Gi.Gi. Sealer
can be applied by spray and spread with T-bar or microfiber short nap roller. Wait until the first coat is completely dry before applying the second coat (ca. 45-180
min.). Do not over-apply. It must be applied in thin coats.
Two coats are usually sufficient, but the applicator must determine the specific need.

Sealer should be applied between 10° and 30° degrees.

Further coats typically take 3 to 8 hours to dry depending on temperature and airflow. After application, tools may be cleaned using soap and water. Light traffic is possible after 16- 24 hours and heavy traffic is possible after 24-48 hours. The sealer will gain strength over the next few days after application and will reach full cure after 7-10 days. Avoid subjecting the sealer to freezing temperatures or moisture for 12-36 hours after application.
