Ercole® Ecoactive is a photocatalytic cementitious overlay that can be applied at the low thickness and activates a chemical reaction that causes the decomposition of pollutants, making them harmless. Ercole® Ecoactive ensures over 60% of pollution reduction, and Italcementi certifies it. Ercole® Ecoactive is ready for use; you need just to add water. It is designed for low thickness coating on concrete, plaster, wood, asphalt, and other surfaces. Ercole® Ecoactive contains the Tx principle of Italcementi, which accelerates the decomposition of pollutants, and a selection of special additives, ensuring an excellent adhesion on the surface on which it is applied.

Ercole® Ecoactive can be applied with a squeegee, spray machine, float, trowel or similar systems.
The low thickness cementitious overlays need mild temperature and, if possible, uniform sunlight in order to complete the curing. The product must be applied only where surface temperature is above 5 °C and air temperature above 10 °C. Do not apply if the temperature is above 40 °C. Do not apply if precipitations are foreseen in the following 24 hours.
Ercole® Ecoactive is ready to use, just by adding water (3-4 litres for a dry mixture, 4-6 litres of the self-levelling mixture) and mixing with a mixing drill in the bucket until you get the desired consistency, trying to avoid air bubbles during mixing. The self-levelling mixture is the most common application for 1 to 3 mm thickness overlays.
Application of pollution-reducing overlay:
The surface must be dampened before the application. For low thickness coatings use the self-levelling mixture with a squeegee. It can be sandpapered both between coats and after the final application (on a dry surface), using a single-brush machine with sandpaper or a polishing machine. The final surface should appear uniform in texture and appearance.
